Pasta Supply Co Files for a Third SF Location, at a Shuttered Cole Valley Peet's

A June 30 DBA registration and a July 31 Type 41 license application at 919 Cole St are the first hard confirmation of chef Anthony Strong's fresh-pasta shop moving into a former Cole Valley Peet's.

Pasta Supply Co, the fresh-pasta shop from chef Anthony Strong, is lining up a third San Francisco location at 919 Cole St in Cole Valley — the first hard confirmation of a move that had circulated only as neighborhood rumor.

The paper trail is straightforward. San Francisco's business registry shows a "Pasta Supply Co" DBA registered to an entity called CVPSC LLC at 919 Cole St, with a June 30, 2026 start date. On July 31, CVPSC LLC applied to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for a Type 41 license — on-sale beer and wine for a bona fide eating place — at the same address, per the ABC's new-applications report. Neither the brand nor Strong has been named on either filing; the read that CVPSC is Strong's is an inference from the matching DBA name and the address. The initials parse cleanly as Cole Valley Pasta Supply Co.

Strong's shop makes 30-plus pasta shapes and roughly 15 sauces fresh through the day, sold both over a retail counter and on the plate. Fresh pasta runs about $10, sauces about $9, with combo plates around $19–20 — a deliberately un-fancy price point ("Pasta isn't supposed to be bougie," Strong told the Richmond Review last year). The existing rooms are at 236 Clement St in the Inner Richmond, open since April 2023, and 3233 22nd St in the Mission, open since May 2024 in the former Dumpling Club space. Together they employed around 60 people as of last spring.

The Cole Street storefront comes with a recent vacancy. A Peet's Coffee operated at 919 Cole until early this year, one of roughly 30 Bay Area Peet's locations shut after Keurig Dr Pepper absorbed parent JDE Peet's. Cole Valley's commercial spine is barely three blocks, mostly locally owned — the kind of short, walkable strip a daily-pasta counter is built for.

No opening date is set, and Strong has not announced the location publicly. A Type 41 application is a bet placed, not a door open; the buildout and the license both have to clear first.
