The Gilroy Rodeo returns August 7-9, 2026, to the Gilroy Fairgrounds with rodeo performances and live music. While Friday and Saturday are sold out, Sunday tickets are still available for an authentic South County experience.
The Gilroy Rodeo, a long-standing South County tradition, is set to return for its annual run from Friday, August 7, to Sunday, August 9, 2026, celebrating the region's rich agricultural heritage. Held at the Gilroy Rodeo Grounds, 2365 Dunlap Ave, Gilroy, CA 95020, the event promises three days of cowboy action, live music, and family-friendly festivities.
While tickets for Friday and Saturday are already sold out, there's still a chance to catch a piece of the action. Sunday, August 9, offers a classic CCPRA Rodeo Performance starting at 1:00 PM, following "Cowboy Church" at 8:30 AM and gates opening at 10:00 AM. Live music by Shane Dwight will follow the rodeo from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Friday features a "GR Buckin' Bash" at 6:30 PM with the Stephen Styles Band playing until 11 PM. Saturday's lineup includes a CCPRA Rodeo Performance at 6:00 PM, preceded by the Dead Cowboys Band from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and followed by Nashville Recording Artist Ryan Scripps from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The event, which was rebooted in 2018 after a long hiatus, is rooted in community and tradition, drawing thousands of visitors and contributing to local nonprofits. Beyond the main events, expect food vendors, shopping, and dancing throughout the day. Admission cutoff is 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 5:00 PM on Sunday.
