The fourth annual SF Juneteenth Market Street Parade brought thousands out under blue skies Saturday, with floats, live music, and Rep. Nancy Pelosi — but the weekend's not over. The Bayview Juneteenth Father's Day Festival runs today, June 21, noon to 6 p.m. at Gilman Park in the Bayview — and it's free.

The Saturday parade started at Market and 2nd at 11 a.m. and rolled to Embarcadero Plaza, all free. Eighteen-year-old Mekai Smith served as grand marshal. Rev. Ishmael Burch of Glide Memorial Church, who has marked the holiday for 35 years, said the momentum is spreading: "It's growing in Oakland, Richmond, San Jose — all around." Event coordinator Tamara Walker connected the day to stakes closer to home — access to good schools, small businesses, safe places for kids. Pelosi, who voted for Juneteenth's federal holiday designation in Congress, was in the crowd for its fifth year as a federal observance.

Today in Bayview: Gilman Park, noon–6 p.m. The bill includes R&B trio Next, funk band Lakeside, and hip-hop group 1 Umbrella. It's Father's Day, and the Bayview is an easy neighborhood to park in if you must. The T Third line runs along Third Street nearby. Admission is listed as free — confirm on the organizers' social media before heading out.
