Vogue confirmed its traveling fashion spectacle will stage its 2027 edition in San Francisco. The date, venue, and price are all still blank — here's what's actually known.

Mark it in pencil, not pen: Vogue World is coming to San Francisco in 2027. Condé Nast confirmed the city as the next stop for its traveling fashion production in an announcement published Aug. 6, with a window of "early autumn 2027" and — for now — nothing else you can act on. No venue. No date. No tickets. "More information is to come," the magazine wrote.

So this is a save-the-date with the date still missing. What you're actually getting is a heads-up that the biggest one-night fashion event on the global calendar has picked your city, roughly 14 months out.

Here's the shape of the thing. Vogue World has run in New York, London, and Paris, lands in Milan on Sept. 22 at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and last year staged Vogue World: Hollywood at the Paramount lot in Los Angeles — an evening that pulled in Doja Cat, Gracie Abrams, Nicole Kidman, and Kendall Jenner. Juan Costa Paz of Convoy, the creative director in Milan, will run the San Francisco show too.

Anna Wintour called SF "a city like none other," citing its "history of rebelliousness" and innovation. Mayor Daniel Lurie, quoted in the same announcement, said "creativity and free expression have been the engine of San Francisco for generations." (Locals on r/bayarea noted Wintour was reportedly spotted around the city in the weeks before the reveal.)

What I'd do with this today: nothing but bookmark it. Ticketing, format, and location for these shows drop close to the event and sell fast — watch for details in spring 2027, not before.
