The annual Pop Nosh food festival returns to Oakland's Temescal Brewing on July 18, featuring a lineup of emerging East Bay food vendors.
Oakland is set to host the third annual Pop Nosh food festival at Temescal Brewing (4115 Telegraph Ave.) on Saturday, July 18, from noon to 4 p.m. The event, curated by the Nosh team, will showcase a collection of emerging East Bay food vendors.
This year's lineup features a diverse array of cuisines. Attendees can expect yakitori and other offerings from Alec Ku's Aku's BBQ, Colombian-Filipino fusion dishes from Jade Lumpia bar, classic burgers with all the fixings from Smash n' Stack Burger Shack, creative pizzas by Pie on the Fly, and small-batch ice cream from Aces Ice Cream. The festival is free to attend, with a capacity of 400 attendees, and promises an afternoon of food, music by DJ Wiley Coyote, prize raffles, and Temescal Brewing's own selection of beers.
Pop Nosh highlights the vibrant pop-up scene in the East Bay, a model that has helped incubate several businesses that have since transitioned to permanent brick-and-mortar locations, including Cenaduria Elvira, Bolita Masa, and Saints Smokehouse.
