What started as a backyard party in 2016 is now a three-stage all-ages festival at a Berkeley winery — and half the profits go to transitional housing for women and kids.

Patiyochella, the all-ages music festival that grew out of an actual Berkeley backyard a decade ago, takes over Donkey & Goat Winery (1340 5th St., Berkeley) this Saturday, July 11, from 1 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $38 advance or $50 at the door; 50 percent of profits benefit Oakland Elizabeth House, a transitional housing resource for women with children who have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, or addiction.

Three stages are running at the winery. The main Patiyo Stage features Lazer Beam, Indigo Elephant, Andre Cruz & The Black Diamond Rhythm Band, and Skinny Hendrixx & The Earthtones, plus one still-TBA surprise act. The Jell-O Stage spotlights singer-songwriters Lindsay LoveKnot, Ryan Woodard, and Matt Herrero, with comedian Sophia Garrow as MC. A DJ Stage rounds things out with WOMAZZLE, Will Lande, and ZEKER. Beyond the music, expect a ceramics painting pop-up and a game zone on site.

No event-specific parking plan or shuttle has been announced, and on-street parking near 5th and Heinz carries 2-hour time limits. The practical move: BART to Ashby or Downtown Berkeley, then bike or rideshare the last mile west to the winery. Go early — the afternoon sets tend to have more breathing room than the back half of an eight-hour festival.

If you've got two hours, arrive by 2 p.m. and plant yourself on the Patiyo Stage lawn.
