The USMNT is confirmed for a Round of 32 match at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in Santa Clara on July 1 at 5 p.m., after winning Group D. Opponent TBD; secondary market tickets start at $3,000.
The U.S. Men's National Team is coming to the Bay Area for the knockout round. The USMNT will play its 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in Santa Clara — that's Levi's Stadium under the tournament's host-city branding — on Tuesday, July 1, at 5 p.m. PT.
The Americans locked up first place in Group D with a 2-0 win over Australia on June 19 (Cameron Burgess own goal, Alex Freeman goal in the 43rd), then Paraguay's 1-0 result over Türkiye on Friday sealed the group standings. USA finishes the group stage with six points from two wins — the first time they've won their group since 2010.
Who they play July 1 is still unknown: under the expanded 48-team format, the Group D winner faces a third-place finisher from Groups B, E, F, I, or J, and that bracket won't lock until all group-stage play concludes around June 27. Christian Pulisic, who sat out the Australia match managing a calf injury, has a few weeks to get right.
On tickets: Secondary market prices are already starting around $3,000, per NBC Bay Area. If that's not the move, Bay Area Fan Zones — scattered across SF, San Jose, and the East Bay — are the no-cost alternative.
Getting there: Caltrain to Santa Clara or San José, then VTA light rail to the stadium. The parking situation on game day is not your friend.
The July 1 opponent will be confirmed once group play concludes. Check back.
