Half Moon Bay Brewing Company expands inland with a downtown restaurant at 730 Main Street, opening July 2026 with a farm-focused pub menu and full bar program.
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company opened its second location at 730 Main Street in early July, bringing the coastal brewer inland to downtown Half Moon Bay.
The new spot occupies the 1,750-square-foot space that formerly housed Sacrilege Brewery and Kitchen, a historic building dating to 1906 with old redwood and wooden beams, plus a front porch that overlooks Main Street. Unlike the original location's seafood-heavy menu, the downtown restaurant focuses on "fresh, approachable pub fare" with a farm-and-ranch emphasis, while keeping the same craft beer lineup and adding a full cocktail and wine program.
CEO Craig Carroll told What Now that "the only thing that's going to be the same is the branding and the beers." The company, owned by Leonard and Christine Mendonca since 2000, originally planned a spring 2026 opening but pushed to July.
The project required a use permit for on-site distilled spirits sales, which the Half Moon Bay Planning Commission approved in February 2026. The expansion aligns with the city's Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, adopted in 2023 to boost commercial vitality in the business district.
The original brewery and restaurant remains open at its coastal location.
