A solo San Francisco developer launched GayWhere this week — a free app that pulls every LGBTQ+ event in the city into one place with ticket links and details — timing the release to coincide with Dore Alley this Sunday.

The fair itself: Up Your Alley (commonly called Dore Alley) runs Sunday, July 26, from 11 AM to 6 PM on Folsom Street between 9th and 10th Streets and Dore Alley in SoMa. It's produced by Folsom Street, the same nonprofit behind September's Folsom Street Fair, and draws an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 people. Vendor booths, sound stages, kink demonstrations, and on-site STI testing and health resources spread across the block; gate proceeds fund community grants. The app covers parties, drag shows, beer busts, and happy hours citywide. It's free, requires no account to browse, and is live on iPhone now; Android users can get it at gaywhere.app/get, which redirects to Google Play. The developer — posting as u/Global-Push-4128 on Reddit — said it grew out of a year spent stitching together queer event info from Instagram stories, venue websites, and group chats.

Dore Alley fills up fast once the afternoon heat sets in. Arrive by 11 AM and enter from the Dore Alley side rather than the Folsom Street end — the crowds thin out noticeably.
