The Outer Sunset dumpling shop registered with the city in 2018 has gone dark with no reopening date. Its original operating LLC expired in December 2025; a successor entity registered at the same address shows no sign of operating.

Dumpling Specialist, the dumpling shop that ran at 1123 Taraval St in the Outer Sunset since its city registration in May 2018, appears to have closed permanently. The restaurant's own website showed "Closed" as of July 2026, with no hours posted and no reopening date offered.

Regulars flagged the closure on Reddit's r/AskSF, where a poster reported the restaurant had been dark since at least March 16, 2026 — a sign on the door citing a month-long vacation that never appeared to end. The original operating entity, Dumpling Specialist LLC, carries a business end date of December 14, 2025, in city records. A successor entity, A & K Kitchen LLC, registered at the same address the following day, December 15, 2025, but no evidence of operations under that name has surfaced. Yelp lists the restaurant as permanently closed.

No mandated health closure, renovation permit, or dissolution filing was found in city records for the address in the months surrounding the reported March closure. The restaurant ran approximately seven years on Taraval, a commercial strip along the L-line that has seen a number of long-standing neighborhood spots turn over in recent years.

No statement was available from the operators of either entity.
