Bar shuffleboard in SF is nearly all 21+. Golden Gate Tap Room (449 Powell St) is the only Bay Area venue with documented shuffleboard and an all-ages window — but its website is currently down, so call before you drive.

The only documented all-ages standup shuffleboard venue currently operating in the Bay Area is Golden Gate Tap Room, 449 Powell St, San Francisco, one block from Union Square. Archived versions of the venue's own site (ggtaproom.com — currently unreachable) list shuffleboard at $6/hour, alongside pool, foosball, SkeeBall, and arcade games. All ages until 9 p.m.; 21+ after. Archived hours: Mon–Thu 4 p.m.–midnight, Fri noon–2 a.m., Sat 11 a.m.–2 a.m., Sun 9 a.m.–midnight. A California ABC "On-Sale General – Eating Place" license (#00564785), a type that structurally permits minors, is active in state records.

Because ggtaproom.com is down, none of these details can be confirmed against a live source. Call before you go to verify the tables are still in and family hours haven't changed. Per the archived site, the 9 p.m. cutoff "may vary during big sporting events."

Two others that don't work right now:

San Pedro Social (163 W. Santa Clara St, San Jose) lists shuffleboard as an amenity and has billed itself as family-accessible — but it's closed until at least late August while the City of San José reviews its operating permit. Check back in September.

Pixels Arcade Bar (1137 Fourth St, San Rafael) is all-ages until 8 p.m. daily and a legitimate family arcade stop — admission $12–$19 — but shuffleboard is not among its games.

Skip: Emporium Arcade Bar (616 Divisadero, SF) has shuffleboard; 21+ with valid photo ID required at the door, per the venue.
