Two post-Pride events extend the celebration into early July: a benefit party at El Rio on July 4 and a free outdoor art market in the Castro on July 5.

The official Pride weekend may be in the rearview, but San Francisco's queer celebration keeps rolling through the Fourth of July with two standout events worth planning around.

Saturday, July 4: "Queer As Fourth" takes over El Rio (3158 Mission St) from 3-8 p.m. for a resistance-themed party with DJs JOJO, CYBERSP1C3, and DJ BLACKWOMAN, plus go-go dancers and food by Christian. Entry is $0-15, with proceeds benefiting LYRIC, San Francisco's LGBTQ+ youth organization. The venue's patio and backyard make it a solid daytime-to-evening hang spot.

Sunday, July 5: The Castro Art Mart returns to Noe Street at Market Street from 2-8 p.m. This monthly outdoor market features local LGBTQ+ artists selling work, live drag performances, and music from neighborhood musicians. It's completely free and family-friendly, with the Castro's shops and cafes nearby for extended wandering.

Both events are easily reachable via Muni: the 14, 49, and J-Church lines get you close to El Rio; the K, L, M, or N streetcars or the 33 bus serve the Castro. No RSVP required for either — just show up.
