A queer cabaret featuring drag, burlesque, and comedy takes over a former church in SOMA to kick off Pride weekend.

Pride at the Pulpit brings a queer cabaret to a deconsecrated church Wednesday, June 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Arts Society, 1401 Howard Street in SOMA. The event, produced by Polly Amber Ross and Themme, features drag, burlesque, live singing, juggling, and queer stand-up comedy as part of the venue's "Drag Me to Saint Joe's" performance series. The 22,000-square-foot former National Historic Landmark church now operates as a secular arts space founded by designer Ken Fulk in 2018.
