South Bay Makers and Double Take Creative are hosting a hands-on junk journaling workshop at Wheelhouse in San Jose's Willow Glen neighborhood this Saturday, July 18, 2–4 p.m. Tickets are $35 and include a journal, washi tape, sticker sheet, and access to communal craft supplies.
Every ticket includes a mini leatherette journal, a roll of washi tape, and a sticker sheet from Double Take Creative, plus access to communal supplies: Polaroid camera, fabric scraps, magazine clippings, decorative paper, and extra collage materials. Bring any photos, ticket stubs, or personal keepsakes you want to fold in — that's the point. The organizers describe it as scrapbooking without rules, layering whatever you have into pages that look like yours.
Wheelhouse sits on the main Lincoln Avenue strip in Willow Glen. Use the rear lot — Yelp reviewers confirm ample parking back there, and street parking on Lincoln runs tight on weekend afternoons. On transit, VTA Route 64A stops at Lincoln & Lincoln, about a 0.3-mile walk to the door.
Spots are limited. If you've got a pile of old ephemera and two free hours Saturday, book now.
