Humphry Slocombe has been doing Pride flavors for years, but the party format means samples, possibly limited-run scoops, and the kind of sidewalk crowd that makes the line feel worth it. Their flavors run savory-weird — Secret Breakfast (bourbon and cornflakes) is the flagship — so whatever they roll out for Pride tends to be an actual flavor, not just pink food coloring on vanilla. No word yet on what's in the case, which is part of the draw.

The shop is at 18th and Harrison, a few blocks from the 16th St. BART Mission stop — 10-minute walk east, or a one-stop Muni ride on the 22-Fillmore. Street parking on Harrison is workable on weekends; skip the blocks closest to 16th where turnover is slow.

If you've got two hours: get in line early, grab two scoops of whatever the special is, walk it over to Dolores Park, and call it a Saturday.
