San Jose's version skews more pop-up format but same idea: car becomes your seat, dashboard becomes your armrest. Food situation varies by night; bring a cooler if you want to avoid whatever the snack bar has.

Practical: BART reaches Concord Station, but the drive-in is a car-dependent trip from there — rideshare or drive. Budget an extra 20 minutes for the entry queue on weekend nights; it stacks up fast once the lot opens. Arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime if you want a centered spot with a clean sightline.

If you only have two hours: skip the food line, park center-lot about eight rows back, and stay through the first feature.
