Civic Center's laser show shares its final Friday with a Zumba class and SF Bike Party — here's how to navigate the overlap.

Friday, July 3, 2026 — Civic Center Plaza, 335 McAllister St. — The "7X7 Illuminate" laser installation runs its penultimate night from dusk until dawn, but you won't have the plaza to yourself. A Zumba class with instructor Matt Ziegler is scheduled for the afternoon (weather permitting), and San Francisco Bike Party rolls in at 7:30 pm for their "America $2.50" themed ride celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary.

The 49 laser beams — one for each square mile of San Francisco — switch to red, white, and blue for the holiday weekend. The installation is free and open to the public, with the elevated truss system allowing visitors to walk underneath the beams.

If you're planning to see the lasers before they end Saturday, arrive early. The bike party gathers at 7:30 pm, and the lasers typically activate around 9 pm. Nearest BART is Civic Center; street parking is limited. No age restrictions for the laser show, but the bike party follows standard group ride rules — stay right, stop at red lights, and bring lights.
