Look, we normally write about government waste, transit nightmares, and the price of your studio apartment. But sometimes a story crosses our desk that demands attention for entirely different reasons. Meet Catpuccino.

Catpuccino is a two-year-old black cat currently in foster care through TVAR who is, frankly, the most relatable creature in the Bay Area. He's terrified of loud noises (any noise at all), tall humans (all of them), and fast movements (anything faster than stationary). If you've ever ridden BART during rush hour, you understand.

But here's the thing — beneath the anxiety is a genuinely sweet, intelligent cat who just needs the right situation. He's gentle, never claws or bites, picks up household routines immediately, and will happily bounce around at mealtime leading you to his food bowl while accepting pats along the way. He's basically a libertarian cat: leave him alone, respect his boundaries, and he'll be the best companion you've ever had.

Catpuccino's ideal home is a quiet one — preferably with another cat he can follow around and shadow like a tiny, furry apprentice. His foster family reports he spends most of his time trailing their other cats, waiting politely for them to finish getting petted before swooping in for his share. The guy has manners. More than we can say for half the people at Dolores Park.

One local suggested reaching out to organizations like 13th Street Cat Rescue, Town Cats, or The Dancing Cat for additional help getting the word out — which tells you something nice about the Bay Area cat community when it rallies.
