Beeple is best known for selling a single NFT for $69 million at Christie's in 2021, but the work itself — hyper-detailed CGI landscapes, dystopian corporate mascots, pop-culture figures dropped into apocalyptic scenes — is the actual draw here. Seeing it printed large changes the read considerably; a lot of the texture and layering that disappears on a phone screen shows up on a physical print. The NFT display component is one of the few times you can see that format treated as a gallery object rather than a wallet entry.
Practical note: parking around University Ave on weekends is genuinely annoying. Take Caltrain or budget 10 minutes to find a spot on a side street north of Oregon Expressway.
If you've got two hours: check the prints first while you have fresh eyes, then spend time with the screen-based NFT works, and walk University Ave on the way out.
